Role Overview:
As the Shieldbearer of Technology & Security, a Genesis Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will lead the development of SagaHalla’s technology infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and innovation across all digital platforms. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, and execution of all technical systems, including blockchain integration, smart contracts, and security protocols. This is a membership role, focused on safeguarding the cooperative’s technological foundation and driving its evolution as a decentralized organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of SagaHalla’s technology infrastructure, including blockchain integration, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps).
  • Oversee the cooperative’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the safety and integrity of all systems and member data.
  • Manage the development of technical tools that support governance, member participation, and cooperative operations.
  • Ensure that the technology stack is scalable, secure, and aligned with the cooperative’s mission and long-term goals.
  • Implement best practices for security, including encryption, identity verification, and risk mitigation for digital assets.
  • Collaborate with other Genesis Founders and stakeholders to align the cooperative’s technical roadmap with its overall strategy and growth objectives.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovations in the blockchain and cooperative tech space, and ensure SagaHalla remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Build and lead a team of developers, engineers, and security experts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the cooperative.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in leading the development of blockchain-based platforms, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of best practices for securing blockchain networks and digital assets.
  • Experience with scalable infrastructure, including cloud services, distributed systems, and decentralized networks.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage with members, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cooperative governance structures and how technology can support decentralized decision-making and member engagement.
